Kelab Penyayang Spread Happiness at Pos Titom
CUCMS’ Kelab Penyayang recently organized a programme called ‘Jelajah Penyayang’ (JeP) that was held at Pos Titom, Kuala Lipis Pahang from 11 to 13 August 2017. The event aimed to improve students’ skills and elevating the villagers’ social lifestyle.
The interesting fact about Pos Titom is that the villagers are Orang Asal from the state of Pahang. The village which is secluded and is located 20 kilometres from the nearest town and makes it hard from the residents to access the basic facilities such as hospital, police station and many more.
Muhammad Faisal bin Jailani, Programme Director of JeP said, ‘This is the most interesting experience in my life, all participants were very cooperative and happy to entertain the Orang Asal children. Cak Raya consisted activities like gotong-royong, yawing and feast. It was the major activity for this programme and it has been successfully done with the help of our lecturers and participants as we happiness to the villagers.”
The three-day camping was an exhilarating experience for the students, they started the event with educating the children that sanitation is vital to avoid illness and continued with medical screening. Cak Raya was on the second day which our students’ help them with Gotong-royong and Sports Carnival on the last day at Pos Titom.
