Is Doctor of Pharmacy for You?

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme at the University of Cyberjaya is a full-time, two-year coursework programme that aims to produce competent pharmacy specialists in the expanding health care system who can provide advanced clinical / health care services including medication therapy, disease-state management as well as patient education and consultative activities.

Local Pharm.D candidates are eligible to apply for Provisional Registered Pharmacist (PRP) training at the University of Cyberjaya.

Course Structure

Course Description

This programme provides extensive clinical training for pharmacy graduates to further their professional careers in a variety of practice settings including hospitals, home health, community pharmacies, managed care systems in the government, and private health agencies.

This professional Master-level postgraduate programme is also designed to produce clinical pharmacists who have the abilities and skills to perform advanced patient medication management, therapeutic planning and monitoring. Upon completion, the students should be able to;

• Apply knowledge and provide pharmaceutical care to patients
• Develop and manage pharmacy specialties, drug therapy process,
medication distribution and control systems
• Provide and promote public health care
• Provide drug information, education and collaborate with patients and
health care providers


Course Training and Practical

Designated hospitals and clinics under the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense are used for training and practical attachment. In addition to that, students will be placed under a few community pharmacies and industrial companies throughout their study years.

Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree with honours
Bachelor's Degree Level

A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR

Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree with honours
Bachelor's Degree Level

A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.

Minimum TOEFL score of 550 (PBT) or 80 (IBT) or minimum IELTS score of 6.0
