Centre for Foundation Studies
About the Centre
The Centre for Foundation in Science, Languages and General Studies at Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences was set up in 2006 to administer a pre-university programme that would allow students who have completed their Form 5 (UK – Year 11, US – 10th Grade) and obtained their SPM (GCSE O Levels or equivalent) to enter a degree programme. The Centre’s Foundation programmes are rigorous and designed to ensure students are well equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake an equally challenging undergraduate study at the university.
The Centre is also tasked to provide Language and General Studies or MQA required subjects for students enrolled across the other Faculties. The Centre’s main objectives are to provide strong and relevant pre medical education for future healthcare providers and to act as a pathway to all degree programmes in CUCMS. With these in mind a relevant curriculum was designed and implemented with the cooperation and support of the other faculties.
The dedicated and highly experienced team at the Centre is committed to making this a center of excellence in teaching and learning through an efficient management and with a conducive environment to achieve its educational objectives.
